Short version: we make money when you buy through some of our links, and it does not change what we write. The long version is below, because you deserve to know exactly how a site like this is paid for.
How this site makes money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the vendor pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra — and where we have a reader discount code, you pay less than you otherwise would.
Every affiliate link on this site is marked rel="sponsored" in the page code, opens in a new tab, and sits next to a visible disclosure. We do not use cloaked links, redirect domains, or links disguised as ordinary references. If a link pays us, you can tell by looking at it.
What money does not buy
- A ranking. Vendors cannot pay to be recommended, to be placed higher, or to have criticism removed. We have never accepted a payment for placement and we will not.
- Our silence. If a vendor we earn from ships a bad batch, stops publishing certificates of analysis, or changes something that matters, we will write it on the page. The commission does not survive our own standards.
- The conclusion. Several pages on this site conclude that a compound has little or no human evidence behind it — including compounds sold by vendors we earn from. Those pages are the reason to trust the rest.
The honest tension, stated plainly
We earn more when you buy and nothing when you don't. That is a real conflict of interest and no disclosure fully neutralises it. What we can do is show our reasoning, cite our sources, publish the negative findings alongside the positive ones, and tell you plainly when the answer is “there is no evidence for this.” Then you can weigh our incentive yourself.
Who we currently earn from
At the time of writing we have an affiliate relationship with ZestyRat Research, and we publish a reader discount code for them. We also write about vendors and compounds we earn nothing from, and we will keep doing so.
This list changes. If we add a partner, it appears here. If a relationship ends, that appears here too.
What we don't do
- We do not sell any product, supplement, compound or consultation.
- We do not take payment for reviews, for coverage, or for removing coverage.
- We do not run sponsored posts presented as editorial.
- We do not sell, rent or share your personal information.
- We do not publish testimonials attributed to invented people, before-and-after photographs we cannot verify, or outcome claims we cannot source.
FTC compliance
This disclosure exists to comply with the US Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255), which require material connections between a publisher and a seller to be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. We think that rule is correct, and we would follow it anyway.
